Advanced still image shooting
For MVC-CD400
a Set the mode dial to , S, A,
M, SCN, or .
b Press repeatedly to select
the desired setting.
Each time you press , the metering
mode changes as follows:
c Shoot the image.
Press and hold the shutter button
halfway down, wait until the camera
completes the automatic adjustments,
then press the shutter button fully
down to record the image.
For MVC-CD250
a Set the mode dial to , SCN,
or .
b Press MENU.
The menu appears.
c Select (SPOT METER) with
b/B, then select [ON] with v/V.
The spot metering cross hair is
displayed.
d Shoot the image.
Press and hold the shutter button
halfway down, wait until the camera
completes the automatic adjustments,
then press the shutter button fully
down to record the image.
To cancel spot metering
Select (SPOT METER) with b/B on the
control button again, then select [OFF] with
v/V.
The spot metering cross hair disappears
from the LCD, and the camera returns to the
normal metering mode.
